Hi, I'm Saira!
I’m a longtime ADHD crafter, journaler, and all-around artsy girly. By day, I work an office job, and by night, you’ll find me covered in glue, paint, and yarn scraps. I live in Opelika with my daughter and my wife, where we’re building a creative life full of color, chaos, and connection. Make Space is my way of sharing that joy with the community-- one wildly imperfect craft at a time.
What is Make Space?
Make Space is a community-driven crafting collective where people of all ages and backgrounds are invited to explore art without judgment. We host inclusive, hands-on workshops that center creativity, connection, and self-expression, offering everything from kids' craft classes to adult art nights to free community events.

Rooted in the belief that everyone is inherently creative, MakeSpace exists to reintroduce you to yourself through the act of making. We believe creativity is a form of self-discovery and that “bad art” should not only be encouraged, it should be celebrated. Whether you're picking up a glue stick for the first time since kindergarten or you’re a seasoned artist looking for community, there’s space for you here.
At Make Space, we make space for everyone!
